Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully before completing your enrolment and payment.
The term “class” or “lesson” in our Terms and Conditions refers to any term course, school holiday workshop, delivered in our home studio, in another location or online.
RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO reserves the right to update our Terms and Conditions at any time. Our Terms and Conditions are effective immediately, once published on this page.
Cancellation, Refund and Transfer policy
RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO reserves the right to amend any class, tutor, or timetable. In such circumstances we will endeavour to provide a substitute of equal standing. Should a class need to be cancelled for any reason such as illness or insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted as soon as possible and an alternative class, credit or refund arranged.
Policy for Short Courses and Workshops (excludes School Holiday Workshops)
Fees are non-refundable, unless negotiated for an extended illness. A small administration fee may be charged to cover bank transfer fees and time. If you choose to cancel a class, we do offer you the opportunity to receive a credit or to transfer your booking to another class. Conditions apply, see below for more details.
Cancellations within 24 hours of class commencement
If you cancel within 24 hours before the start date, you will not receive a refund, transfer or credit.
Cancellations once a course has commenced
You will not receive a refund, transfer, or credit once a course has commenced other than for illness with a medical certificate.
Missed classes
There are no transfers, credit, refunds or make-up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change.
Policy for School Holiday workshops
Our goal is to run all our advertised workshops. However, we sometimes may need to change a workshop theme, age range or teacher due to insufficient enrolments or other circumstances. Occasionally we may need to cancel a workshop altogether. In such circumstances, any student enrolled in a cancelled class will be transferred to another suitable class during school holidays. If no alternative class is available, a credit or refund will be arranged.
No refunds
We do not provide refunds for cancellations or missed workshops.
Cancellation fees and credit or transfers options
If you choose to cancel a class, what you will receive back depends on the time you notify RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO. See our cancellation timeframes and options below:
Cancellations up to 2 days before the workshop date
If you choose to withdraw from a school holiday workshop up to 2 days before its commencement, you will not incur a cancellation fee. The workshop fee will be held in credit and this credit must be used within 6 months.
Cancellation within 24 hours of the workshop date.
If you choose to withdraw from a school holiday workshop within 24 hours of the workshop date, you will not receive any credit or refund.
To avoid forfeiting the class fee, you may transfer your booking to another child, such as a family member or friend, at no charge. Please let us know of any transfers at the time of cancellation.
Covid 19 Policy
Student cancellations due to Covid-19
If you are currently an enrolled student, any changes to your existing enrolment may be made in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. In order to receive a credit should you need to withdraw from a class based on medical advice or from NSW Government directive that you must be isolated at this time, please:
1. Provide minimum 24 hours notice
2. Cite the reason, and
3. Provide relevant documents to support your request such as a doctor’s certificate or your positive Covid-19 test results in advance of your class
Change of mind due to Covid-19
If you choose to withdraw from a class due to change of mind, you may receive a credit. You must notify us at least 7 days in advance of your class via email to rainbowstreetart@gmail.com. There will not be any refunds for change of mind.
Payment of Fees
Class fees are listed on our Bookings Page on our website. Payment of the full class fee is required at the time of enrolment to secure your place. We accept online direct deposit BSB payment into our bank account. Rainbow Street Art BSB 923 100 ACC 817 212 237 Our class fees do not include GST.
Gift Certificates
“Purchased” Gift Certificates are valid 12 months from the date of purchase or until the date listed on the certificate. Our Cancellation and Refund policy applies to the “Purchased” Gift Certificates used to pay for classes.
“Complimentary” Gift Certificates are issued from time to time as prizes for competitions and fundraisers. These are valid for 6 months from the date of issue or until the date listed on the certificate. No extensions will be given.
No cancellations, transfers or credits are possible when a “Complimentary” Gift Certificate is used to pay for a class.
Absenteeism
Fees are non-refundable, unless negotiated for an extended illness. There are no transfers, refunds or make-up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change.
Art Materials
Adult classes: Students are required to supply their own art materials unless otherwise specified in a course or workshop description. Simple, affordable materials lists for classes will be sent to students upon enrolment.
Kids and teen classes: Materials are supplied and included in the class fees for all children’s art classes and holiday workshops. Occasionally a children’s class may require some additional items to be supplied by the student. If so, this will be specified in our class description.
Course Recognition
RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO is not a Registered Training Organisation and as such, courses are not accredited. We always strive to deliver excellence in art education. If requested by a student or parent, we can provide a Record of Attendance upon completion of a course.
Marketing Material
From time to time, we take photographs during our classes of students and/or their artworks. If an online class, we may also use any images of artworks that have been created via our online platform.
Images of artworks and students are used for RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO’s promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, our website, social media and editorials. We will always ask permission to use images of a student. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO. As a condition of enrolment, your consent is implied in using artworks made under our teaching. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos/images of you, your child or your artwork, please notify us in writing prior to attending our class.
Student conduct
RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO is a home studio and a shared space. We expect students to respect fellow artists, artwork, teachers and property. Discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age, race, sex, gender, sexuality, marital status, physical or intellectual disability, or religion will not be tolerated. Students deemed to be exhibiting inappropriate or disruptive behaviour may be removed, suspended or expelled from a class. Additionally, cleaning of your class art space and common areas is a shared responsibility.
Punctuality
Out of respect for other students and tutors, students are requested to be punctual for class. Children should be escorted to and from the art school by a parent or guardian, signed in on arrival and collected on time at the end of class.
Occupational Health and Safety
If you have an existing medical condition, allergy or disability that may affect your participation in a class, you should notify the Director of RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO at the time of enrolment.
Insurance
RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO is insured for public liability to the value of $5,000,000 with the Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd.
Indemnity
Enrolment in a class indicates that you indemnify RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO, Rachel Fairfax and RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO staff, against all responsibility and claims, for accident, loss or injury suffered by you, your child or any of your property during the course of any activity or while on the RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO premises.
It also authorises RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO and its staff to obtain medical assistance to you or your child should the situation arise and that you agree to meet any expense related to this medical attention.
It is your responsibility to notify RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO of any medical condition, allergy or disability that you or your child has that may impact your or your child and/or a fellow student/s during a class.
Activity risks and Insurance
Please note that RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO does not have personal accident insurance cover for students. If your child is injured as a result of an accident or incident while participating at RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO, all costs associated with the injury, including medical costs are the responsibility of the parent/carer.
Privacy
Contact information you supply to RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO will not be disclosed outside the school without your express consent, except where required by law. We do not retain any credit card information or banking details that you may provide.
RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO will from time to time send mail and email to students and past students for the purposes of marketing. Should you not wish to receive mailings from RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO, please notify us that you wish to unsubscribe, and you will be removed from our mailing list.
Using your Creative Kids Vouchers
Rainbow Street Art Studio continues to be a registered provider for the NSW Government Active and Creative Kids Program. Your $50 Creative Kids Voucher may be redeemed for our term classes.
How to enrol using your Creative Kids Voucher
Please email your voucher to us at rainbowstreetart@gmail.com with the following information:
1. Childs full name.
2. Child’s date of birth
3. Parent/Guardian name and mobile phone number
4. Details of classes you wish to enrol child in (name of class, date and time for each class and child)
5. If you are enrolling with Rainbow Street Art Studio for the first time, please also provide:
6. Your street address
7. Alternate contact (another parent/adult name and mobile in case of emergency
8. Any medical conditions or special needs we should be aware of
9. How you heard about Rainbow Street Art Studio
We will then contact you for payment of the balance of fees and any further information we may need.
Please note:
We cannot retrospectively apply the Creative Kids Voucher if you have already enrolled and paid
We are no longer able to use the Creative Kids Vouchers using the online portal due to changes in their program. Please email or phone to enrol using your Creative Kids Voucher.
All our usual Terms and Conditions apply to your enrolment when using your Creative Kids Voucher.
You must book a class at the time of redeeming your voucher with us. This can be for a class within the calendar year.
RAINBOW STREET ART STUDIO will not be held responsible for any unredeemed vouchers or booking errors.
